Strategy for Tonga in partnership with the National Reserve Bank of Tonga (NRBT) and the Ministry

The objective is to develop a coherent Financial Sector Strategy that addresses structural gaps and
credit risk constraints, deepens financial markets, strengthens resilience, and enables the
economic system to more effectively support private-sector-led growth, in line with the
Government's development ambitions for stronger growth, more jobs, and higher incomes for its
people. The resulting diagnostic report, strategy, and roadmap must align with financial sector
development priorities, as reflected in Tonga's National Financial Inclusion Strategy and the
Government's medium-term development objectives.
